New Zealand – Are we witnessing yet another tyrannical overreach?

The Government is pushing a new bill under the guise of “patient safety and efficiency.” But many are warning this is just another clever mechanism to consolidate power and enrich the pharmaceutical industry — at the cost of your health freedom.

It’s called the Health Workforce Regulation Reform, and it could:

• Force all health practitioners under one centralised regulatory body 
• Open the door to deregistering or banning thousands who don’t conform to a pharmaceutical model  
• Limit or eliminate natural health, holistic therapies, rongoā Māori, and culturally based healing 
• Strip autonomy from chiropractors, osteopaths, naturopaths, energy workers, and more 
• Allow politicians to decide who is “qualified” to care for you — and who isn’t

This has happened before:

During COVID, doctors who questioned vaccine safety were censored, persecuted, even deregistered — despite growing evidence that many of their concerns were valid.

Now the Government wants even more control. Will we allow this to happen again?

I strongly oppose the Health Workforce Regulation Reform. This bill threatens health freedom by forcing all practitioners under one regulatory model, regardless of their discipline, tradition, or risk level. It could deregister thousands of qualified professionals, erase traditional healing systems, and remove patient choice. I believe regulation should be profession-led, culturally respectful, and risk-proportionate — not centrally controlled. I urge the Government to withdraw or revise this bill to protect diversity in healthcare.
